5 Questions: An Interview with Lesley Fisher, AMFT

A little bit about Lesley: “I was born in Riverside, California, I moved to Tennessee for 6 years then came back to California where I’ve been for 23 years now. I went to University of La Verne to study psychology and then Mount Saint Mary’s to continue with psychology and focus on marriage and family therapy. I graduated in 2014!”

What do you most enjoy about working at D&M? “Mostly, I enjoy the people that I have met. Everyone had been very helpful and kind.”

If you could learn anything, what would it be and why? “I would like to learn more about the Department of Mental Health paperwork.”

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up and why? “When I was really young, I wanted to be a ballerina. But in high school I was more drawn to helping people, and that is what led me to this!” 

Is there a saying or motto you live by? “I tell everybody this - clients, friends, family; live one day at a time because that’s all we can do.
