On a recent Thursday afternoon, David & Margaret Youth and Family Services welcomed a very special group of forty plus guests to our volunteer recognition event at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Gardens. It was a chance to say thank you to some of the amazingly dedicated volunteers who choose to make a difference in the lives of youth, young adults, and at-risk families who depend on David & Margaret by volunteering their time. Some of these amazing individuals have been volunteering at David & Margaret for over thirty years! All of them, give with their hearts and truly renew hope and inspire change.
Executive Director Charles C. Rich was on hand to personally thank the volunteers and let them know how much their volunteering means to the agency, and more importantly, to the youth and families that benefit directly from their time, dedication, and love. Volunteer Coordinator Linda Vahrson made sure the evening was as special as the volunteers are, with hand crafted centerpieces, origami ice breakers, delicious food, and beautiful music generously donated by Canyon Windsong.
Thank you to the following companies and organizations for their ongoing volunteer support of David & Margaret: ADP, Anthesis, Bastian Solutions, Bay Alarm, Gilead, La Verne Heights Presbyterian Church, Macedonia Women's Purpose Church - Everyone Free, South Western Law School, Timberland, inc., University of La Verne, Zoe International, and UMC New Beginnings San Bernardino.
A couple of hours in the beautiful gardens was a lovely way to acknowledge the value and importance of volunteers. It was a pleasure to take some time to celebrate the D&M Volunteers and something we look forward to continuing to do throughout volunteer appreciation week and the entire year.
Volunteering is a work of heart! Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who choose to make the world a better place.
